"That's good cinema. It's important to know the exact altitude of the plane."
And they still somehow managed to find a movie with Peter Graves in it. Which means it only takes 11 minutes before Biography references start.
1950s movies have some crap pacing. Lots of stock footage of planes, a few translucent!, lots of domestic stuff, lots of pointless sneaking, then lots of staring at things to pass the time!
KILLERS FROM SPACE!
"There aren't going to BE any killers from space, are there?!"
Peter Graves always brings the gold for the MST3K guys. At the very least, they have the Biography! jokes to fall back on, although they can get played out. Still, the silly aliens that don't show up until the movie is almost half done, and then don't do anything except for one or two small scenes... Really, you could almost remove them entirely and have the movie STILL be about a guy running around trying to thwart nuclear bomb tests for the public good.
But hey, the jokes are good, and the laughs are plenty. It may not be MST3K but it sure comes close.
