Up From the Depths

So, I'm catching up on today's news, and I see the following headline...

"Artist plans to put the DNA of 5,000 humans into the Marianas Trench"

In an instant, I can't help but picture this DNA *somehow* being affected, somehow combining, somehow creating a new humanoid life form that after many strange eons would emerge from the sea to either greet their gods...or destroy them.

And yes, I am tempted to seriously write this.
