It is funny timing to me that today is when I watch the episode in which Ludlow, Illinois gets attacked. I've been posting looks at my Trisk reviews, one a day, counting up to the big 100th review in a few months, and today I posted some thoughts looking back at Demons of Ludlow. Gotta love synchronicity.
There's a lot here for them to have fun with. Mocking the loud, obnoxious, marching music was fun, but the running gag seemed to peter out about halfway through, sadly. And of course, any movie that focuses so heavily on the insects is asking to have the gang anthropomorphise them.
I will say, the effects were actually pretty good for the time, and all things considered. Sure, the bugs crawling over photographs of buildings looks silly today, but it kinda works, y'know?
