Always love when they end up with a movie that has big named, genuine talent. Like this here Basil Rathbone.
The Magic Sword is basically an adaptation of St. George and the Dragon, and for MST3K fare, it's actually pretty solid. The storyline is coherent. It goes from point A to point B to point C, with reason and direction. The acting from the name stars is solid, for their stuff, and the effects are good, for the time. That's something Gordon films always had, was pretty solid effects.
Crow's crush on the aged Sybil is cute. And not overdone during the movie. They give you just enough riffs to know what's up, then hit you with the song.
"Lighten up, they're just puppets!" "Hey!!"
