Sooo...this movie.
This time around, the gang sits through a movie about vampire women rising from the dead to wreak havoc upon Mexico, and only the blessed Mexican luchador, Samson can stop them! Of course, Samson doesn't show up until the movie is half over, but hey. He learned it from watching Gamera.
"If a wrestler falls in the forest, and there's no one there to hear it, does it count as a fall?"
This movie is beyond strange. It would be like watching Hulk Hogan AS Hulk Hogan, fighting werewolves. And even that doesn't strike the levels of weird this movie has. The closest equivalent the US had to this was the WWF cartoon way back in the day.
So yes, a very strange movie, with long LONG moments were nothing is happening except dancing and glares, with some super dodgy bat effects...the riffs are way funnier than they should be. Or exactly as they should be, really. ;)
The more notable thing with this episode was this was the departure of TV's Frank, and I thought they handled that well enough, with a good mixture of sadness and humour. This show should never be sad, but when a fixture like Frank leaves, then yeah, be a little schmaltzy. Even if that schmaltz is called "Who Will I Kill?" ;)
