MST3K Rewatch Week 96 - The Sword and the Dragon

"How many prologues does this movie need?!"

Ahh, another movie involving folklore from Russia and thereabouts.  This time, edited and Englishified by Roger Corman himself.  What could possibly go wrong?

Like a lot of these movies, there's a lot of plot, condensing large chunks of folklore into a 90 minute movie.  I'm sure it's a thrilling story, and there's some basic tropes here to enjoy, but with editing and Cormanising...yeah, this is a mess.

Foreign culture, plus bad acting, plus bad writing make for your typical crazy episode with great riffs.  IMO, this isn't quite as good as Jack Frost, but it has its moments.
