MST3K Rewatch Week 86 - Time of the Apes

"It's an entire planet of Ron Perlmans!"

Well, I survived the Gamera movies, but Sandy Frank still haunts my screen with the movie, Time of the Apes.  In this one, some kids and a scientist get frozen and wake up in the far future where man has been replaced by apes.

Sound familiar, kinda?

Their adventures are incoherent, thanks to this actually being a multi-episode series that got ended down to a 90 minute movie for US release.  Oh yeah, that works well.

Fortunately, they find a fellow human, befriend a young monkey, and eventually come home in THE MOST BS ENDING SINCE BSG.  Or something.  Gah, talk about bad science.

But I digress.

As you can tell, this movie is stupidly silly, and that on top of badly moving ape masks, the incoherent editing, make for an amazing MST3K episode.  This was a fave.

I don't care!
