MST3K Rewatch Week 84 - Gamera vs. Guiron

Hello!  Thank you!

More flying turtles!

Ahh, there we go.  More Gamera in this one, yay.  He still stays mostly off to the side, but they sprinkle him through the movie liberally, making it seem like his presence is greater.

This time out, a spaceship crashes to Earth, a pair of kids stumble upon it, and are transported to a swiftly dying planet that is under constant attacks by Gaos wannabes, but protected by the giant knifey headed best, Guiron.  Oh, and the lone survivors of the planet want to eat the kids' brains, and then come to Earth for dessert.  And it is all up to Gamera to stop this nonsense.

Officer Cornjob is awesome. =D  Everyone who watches this movie loves Cornjob.

I was going to point out how amazingly cheap the spaceship looks, even worse than the original Enterprise set, but they kinda carry through the entire cheapness as a theme across the alien world.

As the bots can no longer ignore, this movie is goofy.  Very goofy.  Such weirdness suits them well though, and with a lot of Gameraness to deal with, this definitely makes for a fun episode of MST3K.  From the weird way all the dubbing actors speak, with weird pauses, weird accents, weird the silliness of the monsters, to the silly things the monsters do...yeah.  This is a good one.

"It's a PLANET!!"
