MST3K Rewatch Week 48 - Parts: The Clonus Horror

And so we come to the final disc of the final set put out by Rhino, and it is a doozy.  I love this episode so damned much.

Ahh, the episode where we meet the omnipotent and annoying space kids.  I still like the attempt by Scifi to to a storyline with the host segments.  And yes, the kids were annoying, but it was a fun science fiction cliche to throw at the SoL crew and friends.  And I'm surprised it took them this long to do it.

"I think the voices in my head are a little louder than usual..."

This episode may be the most runningly gaggiest episode with running gags.  You've got the stuff with Dick Sargent and Bewitched.  You've got the Dr. Mario look alike.  I still giggle whenever they start humming various SMB songs.  And then there is Peter Graves and Biography.  Those three runners almost take up the bulk of the movie, and they are absolutely hilarious.  All culminating in the Biography spoof grabbing names from the credits, and even THAT crescendos to the rivalry between Graves and his brother.

And beyond those, there is the usual gamut of gags.  Some of my faves are the ricochets of gunshots, doughy Richard, and oh my gods, the smoking crotches kills me every single time.  I still remember the first time I saw that, I almost could not breathe.

"Clones really are rock stupid."

Now, the only question is; which movie about a clone farm for rich people that risks being exposed when one of them escapes would you rather watch?  This?  Or The Island?
