MST3K Rewatch Week 40 - Giant Spider Invasion

"The movie that takes the bold step of not including the audience!"

Cheap effects, bad science, Alan Hale Jr., the lack of a boom mic, or ANY microphone...  All these add up to a classic MST3K.  Lots of quotable lines, lots of laughs, and just a plain bad movie that is ripe for riffing.  I love this episode.

The host segments are fun too, playing on the trope of people replacing pods.  Loved the gang trying to stay awake to avoid being replaced, which leads to an overly caffeinated Crow, that even goes into the theatre.

They have such glee when the see the movie is in colour.  And it is such, such short lived glee...

"I'm a woozle, and my name is Peanut!" when the spider puppet attacks is a reference that kills me every time.  I am a huge Jeff Dunham fan, so hearing that...yeah.

Although, I won't defend his sketch comedy show.
