Metawhatsis??

Boy, this was an interesting weekend in the world of Trisk.

I was juggling schedules a few weeks ago, remembered a movie I was tempted by, and watched the trailer.

The trailer was awesomely terrible, in all those right ways. It got better and crazier the longer it went on, so I literally fast tracked it. Having a schedule in serious flux right now helped to have a hole that needed immediate filming.

And a bonus, I seemed to have the movie! Read the plot description, and it sounded the same! It was out the same year, must be the same flick!

So I watched the movie, constantly wondering where everything from the trailer was, until the very last second.

I scratched my head, a little disappointed, but the movie was still Trisk-good, so that was fine. And it wouldn't be the first time a trailer was terribly unrepresentative, and had stuff not in the final movie, but this was VERY wrong.

With a little research, I discovered that SOMEhow, two movies with the same name (Just one minor difference no one ever mentions anyways) and a plot that is frighteningly similar, came out in the same year. What are the odds of that?

I naturally immediately went and bought the RIGHT movie, because damnit, I STILL WANT TO SEE IT. The trailer was just that crazy. I need to see this cheesefest of stop motion.

Now I'm sitting here wondering if I want to do BOTH movies back to back this month. Again, having even MORE holes fall into my schedule make that seem very likely. But two movies with the same name and plot back to back seems a bit much, and maybe I'd rather do them with some space between them.

Hmm.
