MST3K Rewatch Week 34 - Wild Rebels

The best part of this is rewatching episodes I know I've seen but can't for the life of me remember.  And that brings us to, Wild Rebels!

My memories did kick in with fits and starts during the movie.  I more remembered the characters than the actual plot; a stock car racer's career ends up at rock bottom, so he hooks up with a bad-ass biker gang for babes, and because the cops asked him to go undercover.  Cue the most absurd bank robbery ever, and a hilarious shootout in and around a lighthouse, and you've got a romp.

I do remember the shootout, that stuck in my mind.

Some decent jokes sprinkled throughout this one, and I had some great laughs.  Another average episode, IMO.  But this episode is pretty much the typical example of why I'm not the biggest fan of non-scifi/horror movies on the show.

I did really enjoy the closing host segment where they took the bad movie, turned it on its ear, and found ways to enjoy it.  That was always the hidden subtext of the show, and my website's reason for being, so nice to see it come right out.
