Damn...

Checking out some of Marvel's upcoming Civil War stuff, and damnit, it's actually looking cool.

Note: This is stuff not being written by Millar, so there ya go. ;)

Spider-Man vs. Cap is just gut wrenching, on some level.

Ben Grimm standing against hero registration.

Thunderbolts being used to hunt down heroes? PERFECT way to tie in the TBolts.

The GLA pop up in Cable/Deadpool, where 'Poolboy is doing much the same as the Thunderbolts (And both books are by Fabes. Hmm...) Meanwhile Cable is keeping himself above the fray...

And Quicksilver turns up in X-Factor, finally.

Just lots of cool stuff. Not all so much directly part of Civil War, but having these events happening during the event elevates the books that are part of it to being good reads, although most of these are some of my favourite comic writers, so go figure. ;)

Dear Marvel,

When writing a Luke Cage story, never describe it as "brother against brother". That just sounds...tasteless.

Leave that to me. ;)

With much love,

Ch-ch-changes

I'm checking out the beta of LJ's new Sponsored+ ad-supported account. Giving them feedback, and seeing how annoying the ads are (So far, I can deal with it. They put them exactly where I'd like 'em, and they're not too jarring, IMO).

I don't know if I'll stick with it, since right now there's little benefit to my personal LJ experience, but when/if they ad polling abilities and a few other things, then it may be a different matter. But if it helps out LJ, I may stick with it for now anyways.

If they bug me, I'll say screw it. Let me know what you guys think, if you even care. ;)

I'll be playing with the look and settings that I can mess around with, so things might change suddenly and without any warning beyond this one.
