Stemming the Tide

Human stem cells become nerve cells in US study

Stem cells taken from human embryos have been coaxed into becoming motor neurons in an experiment that might one day help scientists repair damaged nervous systems, researchers said.

The study supports claims by stem cell researchers that they can train embryonic stem cells to develop on demand into any type of tissue in the body.

They hope this technology will eventually transform medicine and allow cures for a range of diseases - in this case, nervous system injuries and diseases such as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Fun Fun Fun...

It's so much fun to go to the eye doctor's and find out you are, for some reason, not covered...

It seems to be sorted out now and I'm going back enxt week, but annoying.

...I Hate You All

From an interview with Claremont at Comicon's Pulse:

"On the other hand, feedback is feedback and it’s always nice to gain a sense of how people think," Claremont continued. "How else would I learn that I’m a talentless senile has-been? Still, for me anyway, since I post under my own name, I wish that the other correspondents on-line would have sufficient courage of their convictions, or at least courtesy, to do the same. Slashing someone always seems easier behind the comparative anonymity of a 'handle'. All that does for me is pretty much totally invalidate the quality of the comment."

This is all YOUR FAULT for making me read that in a completely different way!!
