The other day, the Occupy Wall Street protests came on the news, and he started yelling and carrying on. Most of it washed passed me as I wasn't quite caffeinated, but one part of the rant did leap out at me.
He started yelling about how all these people need to get over it, and if they want to do something, they should go out and vote, to get the people they want into office, instead of whatever it is they're doing!
Uhhh. It's a bit much to assume those people didn't go out and vote, isn't it? I was just astounded by the assumption that they're all, to a person, people who must not have voted because they're not happy with the way shit's going down. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't one or two people here and there that didn't, but I'm sure most of them did, and their candidate either lost, or are now unhappy with the way their guy turned out. Doesn't mean they can't go out there and complain. In fact, our constitution encourages it.
