Scream and Scream Again

Just rewatched Scream 4 on DVD, and I think I actually liked it a little more this time out.

It still has problems.  Everything I said still holds true.  It's still too meta for its own good, and a bit too up its own tailpipe of mythology, but the plot is actually pretty clever, works for the movie, and works from a storytelling point of view.  The big reveal is actually set up and dodged well during the movie itself...

I still would have taken things in a SLIGHTLY different, darker direction, but overall, it was a fun movie.

I really ought to revisit the first Scream movie, since I recall thinking it merely ok, if not outright disliking it, depending on my mood.
