MST3K Rewatch Week 18 - Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders

Ahh, the stench of made for tv.  More crap strung together from two failed episodes of a show.

Such a random opening.  It has nothing to do with the rest of the 'film' aside from showing that damned monkey.

This might have made a decent anthology series, like Friday the 13th, except for the fact that it was COMPLETELY TERRIFYING!!  Dead pets, creepy monkeys, and holy crap, Merlin is a dick!!

The whole premise of the show is about Merlin's shop, where he lets people play with mystical crap and/or buy it, and then it releases COMPLETE HAVOC into their lvies!!  The hell??  And it's not even cutesy 'learn your lesson!" type havoc.  Things DIE!  A man is forced to turn into a baby again to relive his life!  And ok, you can't blame Merlin for losing the monkey, but even having it in his shop to tempt people...  What's he going to say?  Oh no, you can't buy that?!

Geeze.  This movie.

Not the funniest ep, but more than enough for the guys to mock, and Ernest Borgnine is a great target for jabs.  A perfectly average episode.
