Nine to Five

Just watched the pilot for Nine Lives of Chloe King, a new show on ABC Family and...I rather enjoyed that.  Skyler Samuels is wonderfully adorkable, even if I still can't buy any actress's characters bemoaning how guys don't pay attention to them. ;)

Anywho, the plot is thus: Chloe's your average, awkward teenager, and she discovers she's more than that.  She is, in fact, a supernatural creature with powers far beyond those of mortal men.  And there's a group of people who want to stop these creatures, because humans hate and fear things that are different, as the X-Men has taught me.

Mix with high school angst, stir, and let boil.

It rather works.  It is very Buffy at times.  It's maybe a bit too bland with some characters, but for a pilot, pretty solid.  I'll keep watching.

It's about a wicked cute redhead that's smart, snarky, spunky, with superpowers and a pesky habit of not dying.  How can I NOT watch this??
