In Superman #698 (Now with actual Superman in it!) Mon-El gets attacked by a bunch of white primates all chanting Koko.  That alone was worth the price of admission.

I'm also pretty sure I know exactly where this Last Stand storyline is going.  This is going to be the 2010 version of how Mon-El seeded the worlds and became a legend, and became lost, and a veritable religious figure.
