So, I dropped Midtown Comics an email, suggesting they should find some way to make it clearer to longtime customers on just what shipping charges there might be BEFORE hitting that dreaded express checkout button. I wasn't expeting, or wanting a refund on anything, since it really was my own fault, but they refunded the shipping costs anyways.
I've had a few problems with them since I started using them in 2001, but every time they've done right by me in the end. They're one of the best comic stores I've ever encountered, and I've never set foot in their store.
So, a crap day is upgraded slightly to a 'meh' day. =)
