I know what the big problem is. It's two-fold really. One is that I am not a message board person. I come around for awhile, but they're just such a pain to keep track of, that they get tossed aside pretty quick, due to being a huge time sink. I much prefer real time 'face to face' chatting. Easier to follow, more personal, and much more immediate. Heck, I rarely even bother with e-mail. The second half being, I've never been much of a self promoter. Coupled with not being much of a message board presence, how the crap do I get people in there? I hate popping up on a message board for the first time in months, if not years, to be a dick and say "Hey, come over to my place to talk, screw these guys!" Heck, I feel bad about doing that if I *am* a regular. ;)
This is a constant issue in my brain. I love chatting, but it seems like such a pain to get others to want to. #SubCafe and #Comicbooks both have their regulars, fortunately, and are far from dead at least. Although there are weeks when they sure look like they're on life support. I'd hardly call it a New Year's resolution, but I would love for 2009 be a year of rebirth for these places, to get them somewhat hopping again. I've got a few, probably bad, ideas puttering around my head. This isn't the last you've heard of this, not by a long shot. I hope. =)
I've kinda shoved a few things to the side in recent weeks, and are making my IRC babies my focus for a little bit, so here's hoping.

There, a nice long post for being quiet for a few days.
