Finally watching the new season of Dexter with my mother, and in the second episode, characters are talking about a character dying, and my mom doesn't remember who did it.

Despite seeing Dexter kill him twice, talking about it repeatedly, and seeing it in the 'previously on' bits.  I can buy missing some details, but c'mon. ;)

And watched the third episode tonight, credits rolling, "Oooh, Jimmy Smits is in this episode?  I like him!"  For those not watching Dexter, he was in the first two episodes this year too.
