Urge to Kill...Rising

Ok, y'all know I'm pretty mellow on spoilers.  It's not worth the trouble avoid stuff if I'm not going to watch it immediately.  Doctor Who, for example.  I wait for the DVDs, for my own reasons, so if I come across spoilers, I'm not too perturbed.  Having Doctor Who fandom, and even a writer!, in the friendslist make it an impossibility, really. =)

Otherwise, something that's new I might nab spoilers about out of curiosity, and to speculate how it happens.  But in general I don't like the Big Stuff Spoiled, if it's avoidable.

So if you give me a link to the plot of the Star Trek movie...

And I say I didn't read the link...

And you ask if I want the link again so I can read it...

And I say no to giving me the link again...

DON'T FUCKING TELL ME WHAT THE LINK SAYS!  How godsdamned hard is that?!  "I didn't read it.  Do not give me the link again, I don't want to read it." does not translate as "Golly, I'd enjoy reading it, could you give me all the juicy details??"

And no, it is not 'obvious from the trailer' what the link revealed.

I knew there had always been talk about time travel for the movie.  I didn't really want to hear that (maybe kinda) definiely that the plot of the movie concerns Nero going back in time to kill Kirk's parents so he would grow up with an adoptive abusive uncle, and change history.

"You clearly see the ship Kirk's parents were on blowing up in the trailer!  If you know the name of the ship."

Clearly?  That's subjective.  I saw a bunch of ships blowing up.  I didn't see many with names.  None of them registered in my brain as anything significant.  I also DON'T know the name of the ship Kirk's parents served on.  Hell, I didn't even know they served in a ship.  Although I'm pretty sure I can pinpoint which ship in the trailer that is being referred to.

If I find spoilers, I do my best to not share, although I do have my moments of "Holy crap, Vader is Luke's dad!" type events. But that's a different breed from being outright told not to share, and willfully ignoring that request. That's my mouth (Or fingers) outracing my brain. I'd say I inherited that trait from my mom, but... ;)

I may also be a tad grumpier than normal about this because I need sleeeeep.
