On another note, it's kinda sad that my mother was confused by the movie...
Granted, if she didn't go outside to do...whatever (Read: try and sneak a smoke that she assumes I don't know about) for the last half hour, she might understand things better.
That's a peeve of mine. I'm basically head o' entertainment, and I'm bugged every night about what we're going to watch, and I'm usually pretty good at having stuff. But damnit, I hate when they beg me to put something entertaining on, and then BUGGER OFF ELSEWHERE. If you've got other stuff to do, go do it before! You've got all day to putter around the house and do stuff. I can wait the five minutes to finish dishes, the programming isn't going anywhere...
The biggest annoyance is my parents knack of walking out when plot important stuff comes on. And then they have questions later. Which requires me answering what's already been answered, which is over OTHER stuff that I have to keep answering.
A connection to that is when I'm asked a question the movie or show just answered, and they ask me anyways, when I know they heard it...
Example from tonight's viewing: Sydney gets done explaining cell memory, and how some people experience weird things after transplants. My mother asks, "So this is happening because of her eye transplants?" Why would you ask this? The movie just SAID that. I swear, my mother's dialogue is written by Bendis. As if that wasn't bad enough, the movie ends, and she asks me why Sydney saw what she saw.
In the words of the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight... PAY ATTENTION!!
