Lost the Way

Ok, so ABC put out a bunch of announcements today for season sets of the shortened 2007-2008 season. I'm only looking at one, since that's the only show I care about, but I suspect there are others this applies to as well...

"Lost: The Complete Fourth Season - The Expanded Experience will include all 14 episodes on 5 DVDs (SRP $59.99) or 5 Blu-rays ($96.99)."

So, that's two less discs, nine fewer episodes than last the exact same price.

Just how does THAT work?

Aside from "Screwing over the consumer".

It was always going to be a shorter season of 16 episodes, instead of the 14...but still, to actually have considerably less content, to the point of losing a third of the size of the set, but the price remains exactly the same. What a load. =P Even without the strike, the set should have had some change in pricing. Bah.
