Forget that too. Interdimensional war is where it's at.
Annihilation fucking rocked.
THAT is a war.
That was substance over style. Widescreen storytelling, without the shallow depths that often seem to come with it. Getting in characters heads more than "Rar, I am Captain America, and I am upset! But I shall punch things and make it better!"
The entire Annihilation event was better written, with a better story, more engaging, and went to some length to make you care about the deaths of characters, and their sacrifices much more than Millar ever could hope to.
