Since when was Forest Whitaker one of the most respected actors? O.o

I can't stand the guy, and have *never* liked him, not even seeing anything he's done since Species.

Where he played a psychic who was so good that he could walk into a room COVERED IN BLOOD and tell from his feelings, "Something bad happened here!"
