Civil War Pondering

I think I know what bugs me so much about Civil War. I love superhero comics, because of that joy and wonder they've always held, of amazing people doing amazing things, even Spider-Man, with his problems...but CW tosses that all aside for political morass, and to take away the wonder, and just make them bland government agents or outright fugitives. Which the latter, they always were in a sense, but with Civil War, it becomes much more serious. It's stomping on the fun and joy of comics.

Which isn't to say that there isn't parts I've liked, mostly in the spinoffs and tie ins, but it's not an overall direction I enjoy.
